Ferry to Rab :
In 1963 the fishing boat "Čutin" was converted into a ferry, which transported the people from the mainland to the town of Rab. In 1966 the first real ferry was purchased "Rabljanka". In 1970 a jetty was built in Pudarica, this to reduce the sailing time significantly from 1 hour to 30 minutes. Then there was also built a jetty in Lopar, this was for the traffic that came over the island of Krk. In 1976 Mišnjak made an artificial dock and the ferries could moor here, this was a halving of the sailing time. In 2012, they moved the ferry departure station to Stinica, as the port of Jablanac became too small. Now loading and unloading is much easier because two boats can moor next to each other. The ferry in Lopar sails 4 times daily during the tourist season. Duration of the transfer 1.5 hours. One can also sail with the Catamaran from Rab to Rijeka is definitely recommended for people who want to go shopping in Rijeka for a day.
