Rab is an island of sun, sea and beauty. It is the ninth largest island of the Croatian Adriatic, as well as one of the greenest. The island is 22 km long from the cape Sorinj to the cape Galvina, and 11 km wide. With 157 km of cycle-paths and 144 km of walkways, getting around Rab is never a problem, making it easy to enjoy an active and fun holiday, or just to take in the outstanding natural beauty of the picturesque Mediterranean landscape. 

The Premuziceva-1 geological trail takes you from the Lopar camping place to the Matkici settlement, near the St. Peter's church in Supetarska Draga.

The trail crosses the main Rab Island ridge and the hidden Fruga valley. Its length is 8 km, and there are no resting places nor drinking water, so it is recommended to bring along the water.

The trail is partly exposed to the sun, and partly takes you through the woods. The Lopar part of the trail is exposed to the bora wind. The trail is not recommended for cyclists.

The Premuziceva 2 geological trail takes you from Kampor, through the protected Dundo forest to the Kalifront southern coast, then along the coast to Frkanj, and eventually to the St. Eufemija Bay.

The trail is 15 km long, and it goes primarily through the woods. The resting places are located in Gozinka cove, at Suha Punta, and during the tourist season also on Frkanj. The coastal part of the trail is exposed to the sirocco wind. The trail is not recommended to cyclists.

Jeu de boules :

Rab has its own Bowls Association and there is a bocce court in each village. The bestplayers all play with the best club on the island: Rab PA Albatros Club. The bocce ball wasonce made of wood, but in recent years is increasingly made of metal. Courses are alsoavailable to tourists and you can even take part in training on Sunday to play the localclubs. We always order wine, but still do your best... this is the best way to get to know thelocals.

Horseback riding  : 

There is a ranch located in Kampor, just 3km from the centre of town. It is surrounded by beautiful nature, a refuge from the hustle, bustle and stress of everyday life. The ranch is the home to two beautiful, quiet horses, a Lipizzaner called Nera and a Haflinger (pony) called Hummi, who can be ridden independently or with the help of a guide. Children will be especially delighted by the two miniature goats that also live at the ranch.

The island of Rab has excellent conditions for this kind of recreation especially on the big sandy beach Rajska Plaža (Paradise Beach) in Lopar (which every year hosts one of the Croatian Champion tournaments) and the sandy beach in Kampor and others.

f you have ever considered obtaining a boat license, it is now perhaps the appropriate time. In the Sanda Atlantic maritime boat school you can take a course to obtain the full master's certificate A and B which is required by the Croatian Ministry for seafaring tourism, transport and development.

Rab has 96 coves, about 200 beaches of different sizes, 38 capes and 20 cliffs – a very good indicator of how indented our coast is. The best way to experience it all is by kayaking. Come row with us on a magical adventure in which you will discover the original beauty of the flora and fauna of our coast. Rab itself has 103.2 km of coast, but when you add all the coastal lengths of other smaller islands around Rab, it comes up to 116.17 km. The territory of Kalifront is particularly interesting because every one of its beaches is different, both in shape and structure; we’ve got sandy beaches, rocky beaches, gravel beaches, or a mixture of it all, lining up one after another, right up to the cape of Kalifront.

We can also offer you the unique pleasure of diving into our rich underwater world. The group of caves called Medova buža (Bear hole), with its see-through blue colour, treasures a variety of stalagmites and stalactites, as well as protected species of bats. The best way to learn more about the forces of nature is by rowing beneath the high narrow cliffs of Kamenjak (408), which has been shaped over the centuries by strong northern winds of up to 200 km/h. You can take part in the adventure by renting one of our kayaks or by being led by our guides who know the island like the backs of their hands – even though there's always something new to be found, even for us. There are several tennis sites on the island of Rab, where it’s easy to find a tennis partner, or where you can take tennis lessons. The best tennis courts are found in Lopar - near the Hotel Complex in San Marino in Kampor in Suha Punta, and the fields at the Imperial hotel in the old town.

Tabletennis:

Of course, you can also play table tennis on Rab. You can almost play for free in San Marino on the site of Lopar in Kampor in Suha Punta Hotel resort in Banjol on the site of Padova III and Palit at the Imperial Hotel.

Boat excursie's " Vojka "

Mister Pivac’s sister is the captain on the tour boat “Vojka”.  With this boat you can go on a different trip each day or enjoy a great picnic on an uninhabited island.  The boat docks in the harbour of Rab

Lopar has an abundance of beautiful sandy beaches; in fact, there are 22 of them, of which 3 are nudist beaches (Ciganka, Sahara and Stolac). The largest and most famous is the Rajska plaža or 'Paradise Beach', which is 1.5km / 0.9m long and has the most tourist facilities. Rajska plaža was awarded the 'Blue Flag' in 2003 – the international symbol of quality and preservation of the natural environment as well as safety for the bathers.

'Paradise beach' is especially interesting for older people, families with children and less proficient swimmers, but equally for young people keen on sport and amusement.
 

At the height of the season it can be difficult to find sunbathing places on this beach because together with the tourists from Lopar, more than 50% of visitors to the town of Rab also bathe here.

Surfboards are allocated in different places.

The Island Rab is a dream for every person who likes waterskiing.

Snorkelling around the Island and the cliffs is a very pleasant activity.  You can also snorkel in the freshwater bay “Zavratnica”, there you can find a sunken ferryboat .

Roller blade is also possible, but not really easy because of the differences in height.

You can explore the entire Island Rab by quad or Buggy .

You can play  Biljart in Hotel Padova in Rab .

Skate boarding  is also possible, but not really easy because of the differences in height.

In the evening you can experience the unique Croatian atmosphere, while you are taking a wonderful meal or having a drink, you can enjoy the local folklore and other sorts of entertainment. Young people can ‘dance the night away’ in the Discotheques of Rab.

Swimmers will definitely enjoy the good quality of the water and the warm temperature.

Dolfins  are often signalised around the islands, keep your eyes open!!!!

Open fire on an island is lovely, but not allowed.

People who like shopping will definitely find what they are looking for in the shopping streets of Rab.

Go on a day with the Catamaran a day of shopping in Rijeka (time table can be found on the rol-down menu of the ferry).

You can start right now with putting on some oil, there will be plenty of sunshine!

In San Marino you can trampoline to the moon!

And also Bungee-trampoline .

On the little Islands in the bay of Supetarska Draga there are a lot of little beaches, of course there are also a lot of beaches in the bay between Lopar and San Marino.  There is also a large beach in San Marino.

In the uttermost south of paradise beach there is "aquagan", monumental which, especially to the youngest tourist, offers endless enjoyment in sliding down the three water paths.
